Retiring Abroad: How Will COVID-19 Change the Way We Travel?

Retiring outside Canada, either full time or part time, is a goal for many of us. However, 2020 has given many people a pause for thought with the emergence of the COVID-19 virus.

It is clear that travel will be different for the foreseeable future. Some of the changes may include increased security/medical screening, less density on airplanes and increased medical/cleaning protocols on cruise ships. Similarly, medical travel insurance may be more stringent during the application process. Perhaps cross-border travel will continue to be somewhat restricted, even after the coronavirus pandemic has eased.
